Luciana Mello

I built my career based on personal needs, opportunities, a lot of effort and good luck!

My main motivation is to use my knowledge in management and the whole expertise I have accumulated to be part of a gear committed to change social inequality scenarios. I really love to facilitate knowledge, to guide learning processes and to bring my management lens and skills to let thinks work better than they are actually doing. You can see my shine when I learn something new myself, when my work makes practical sense and a difference. As a consultant in management positions I am responsible for improving the management flows and skills so organizations can achieve better results with more efficiency.

I have held positions as Foreign Trade Manager, Trade Promotion Consultant, Chief of Staff and Technical Advisor, Administrative, Financial and Operational Coordinator besides my position as a higher education professor. My professional path has been made of some choices, a lot of effort, and god luck as well! From the position as foreign trade manager I arrived in the third sector to work in a project named Afro-Brazilian Incubator and from this position I was invited to work for the federal government as Chief of Staff in Brasília, the capital of my country! During this path I acquired the super power of developing methodology and structure for management.

In this meantime I made some consultancies for a third sector organization located in São Paulo too: Strategic Planning; development of methodology for public call proposals evaluating and analyzing and elaboration of document for monitoring and evaluation of action strategies, objectives and goals.

I am focusing mainly on organizational management development; project structure and development management; research structure and strategy; management strategy accompaniment.

I work for NGOs, social movement groups, social good companies and government bodies.

In my professional life I am kind of proud to know I succeeded in reaching more respected job positions based exclusively on my efforts and knowledge although there were some limitations of choice. In my personal life I would say I am independent and self-confident and today I am able to make plans for the future.

I hold a Master’s degree (stricto-sensu) in Business Administration at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), 2021; Specialization’s degree in Public Policy Management on Gender and Race (GPP-GeR) at Universidade de Brasília (UnB) in 2016 and International Relations History at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in 2013.
