Vaibhav Gupta

I currently work as a Senior Manager at The Bridgespan Group, a global impact advisory firm that collaborates with some of the leading global philanthropists, corporates, and nonprofits in advancing their impact journey. At Bridgespan, I work with clients on program strategy, operating model, funding models, systems thinking, organizational development, and building collaboratives in areas including livelihoods, women’s economic empowerment, SRH, nutrition, climate & agri intersections, women in leadership, etc.

I am a seasoned social impact professional with 10+ years of experience who started his journey at Digital Empowerment Foundation, a nonprofit in Delhi (India), where I partnered with local handloom weavers on an income enhancement program focusing on technology as an enabler. Post that, I transitioned to the policy space and joined the Legislative Assistant to Member of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship, where I started supporting an MP in their parliamentary business. This opportunity led me to join the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, where I worked closely with the Union Minister on issues related to policies, programs, federal and state partnerships, and strategy for new interventions.

This experience exposed me to the potential of the system and the scale of impact one can catalyze by collaborating with it. It led me to continue my systems work, and I started engaging with the Government of Haryana on their skilling mandate (through Samagra), followed by a collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on addressing the challenge of Tuberculosis in India (through CHAI).

After spending half a decade on systems work, I chose to experience another dimension of social impact and started supporting corporate India in their CSR mandates, including on strategy, program implementation and management, and portfolio management. I worked on 50+ CSR mandates in one year across areas including livelihoods, healthcare, WASH, social protection, waste management, etc., post which I joined Bridgespan.

I also have a keen interest in research. I have authored research papers and case studies on low-cost innovative survival strategies, technology for income advancement for poor producers, Indian ed-tech company Aglasem, and the concept of home-based services for TB through private sector engagement. I have also presented my work at the Academy of Marketing Conference in the UK, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, and the World Lung Conference by UNION.

I have completed my MBA from the Indian School of Business and my B. Tech from Delhi Technological University (DCE).
